YMCA at Pabst Farms
The mission of the YMCA Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is to strengthen the community by instilling the core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility in teens through hands-on, real-life leadership activities, leadership retreats, and volunteering. It is a leadership opportunity for high school students ages 14-18 to actively shape YMCA programs and services. Volunteer board members collaborate with the Youth Program Department to provide input on teen interests, emerging issues, and community needs, while also creating and leading their own projects, such as mentorship programs and community service initiatives. One of the unique traits of the Teen Advisory Board is that everything is run by teens, for teens. Meetings will take place during Oconomowoc High School’s pride hour on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from October to May, with a total of 16 meetings. Zoom meetings may also be scheduled for upcoming or time-sensitive events. TAB members will develop essential leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills while making a direct impact on their community. They will actively contribute by planning, promoting, and leading programs and dedicate at least 10 hours to volunteering at YMCA events. Through this program, teens will: discover a place to belong, earn service hours, volunteer in your own community, learn leadership skills, and engage in college and career exploration. Applicants must be in or going into high school in the fall of 2025, adhere to the YMCA Code of Conduct, and submit applications by Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Application is available online HERE: https://fs22.formsite.com/ymca/tab/index
